Thomas Barrett is founder and President of EnCirca, an ICANN-accredited registrar. Mr. Barrett also leads TM.Biz, a trademark protection service for social media; SiteSee.com, the directory provider for the dotCoop Registry (directory.coop); and PW Registry Corp. technical contact for the dot-pw ccTLD.

Previously, Mr. Barrett helped launch the IP Claims rights protection service for the dot-biz gTLD and was a founding board member of Affilias during its successful bid for the dot-info gTLD. He was also CEO of NetNames which he sold to NetBenefit.

Previously, Mr. Barrett served as Vice President of Interactive Media for Thomson-Compumark, the world’s leading trademark research vendor, where he led the internet development of do-it-yourself trademark and domain research services. He also engaged in program and product management at a major print and online publisher, business process re-engineering at a “big five” systems integrator and engaged in factory automation at two major aerospace & defense manufacturers.

He has engineering degrees from WPI and MIT and resides near Boston, Massachusetts.
